COLLEGE COUNSELLOR
All students and staff of the University can refer themselves to the University Counselling Service. However, some students prefer to see the College’s own Counsellor, Elrika Erasmus, who is available to see students confidentially in College.
Elrika has had more than a decade of experience working in private mental health care in London before moving to Cambridgeshire, where she furthered her career by acting as a college counsellor and expanding into executive coaching. She has a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology, and is registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Elrika is an integrative therapist, and has had training in a variety of modalities ranging from psycho dynamic to CBT, and approaches each client as an individual and will adopt the process as necessary. Clients will be seen for one-off sessions, or up to 6 sessions, depending on their specific need.
Elrika can be contacted by e-mailing counsellor@murrayedwards.cam.ac.uk.
